Peace River Thousand Trails Preserve

Peace River Campgrounds is just south of Wachula Fl. on U.S.Highway 17.
Peace River is a nice place to go if you just want to relax.they do have a nice Swimming pool, pickle ball,(which I don't know how to play) meeting room, kids game room, and many other
activities in the winter months.

From Drop Box

The campgrounds is bordered by the Peace River.(it's more like a creek at this point)

There are a few attractions in the area ,such as across the highway from campground is a county park called Pioneer Park. There is a museum, some very old buildings,a blacksmith shop and an old steam locomotive that has been restored. It also has a campground and picnic areas.

We were there during watermellon picking season and the town of has a parade and street fair which was very nice.Arcadia is about 20 miles south of Thousand Trails.
For grocery shopping Sweebay is great. It's a little pricey but they have most anything you could want.

Savannah Ga.

Now we are going to Savannah Ga. This is a very old city. It has been restored back to Civil War Times, it has to be the best restoration of a city that we have ever seen. Savannah is a beautiful place. I'm a history Buff ,so I visit restored places as often as I can.
This picture is of City Hall.

The next picture is of one of the many old historic homes here. Sorry That's all that I can remember about this house. I believe is called the
